Middle Georgia State University Macon Campus

About Us

Rotaract Clubs around the world were created based on the ideas defined by Paul Harris, an individual who sought to bring together people of all cultures and backgrounds in order to create lifelong friendships and connections. The Middle Georgia State University Rotaract Club enables its distinguished members to assist both local and global communities in need. Through service, our Rotaract Club allows its members to exchange ideas with community leaders, develop leadership skills, and develop professional skills. Rotaract is a worldwide effort to bring peace and take action through service in order to fulfill the needs and necessities of others around the world. Rotaracters have the ability to be part of a global change by giving back to their home communities and communities around the world. Above all, the Middle Georgia Rotaract Club teaches its individuals how to become better leaders while collaborating with other Rotaract club members to make tomorrow better than today.

Why Did You Join the Rotaract Club - My brother was a part of Professor Ashford's class when she was trying to start the Rotaract club. He signed up first and ran for the President position, and I had looked up Rotaract International and seen all the great work that they do! After talking to my brother and Professor Ashford I was really interested in helping our local community and getting MGA's name out there. I really enjoy participating in local service projects and always had a desire to help my community. I was part of similar clubs in high school and was happy to see that I could continue supporting my community in different ways in college as well!
